3. PROVERBS.

THE RUBY LADY.

Here they are … Mrs,

FAR ABOVE RUBIES.

“THE GOOD WIFE!”                                      When I was married, now thirty-five years ago! I used to avoid this passage because I thought I could never measure up to the ideal woman described in Proverbs 31.

Today as look back now realise that the husband in Proverbs was showing joy and respect for the “wife and mother of his children he had chosen.”

Proverbs as a book has high praise for a good wife.

See chapter 14:1

“A successful match receives the favour of the Lord… Because the match is God’s choice, His gift.

Are you panicking?   “Oh No! I’ve married  the wrong man!”

No, not necessarily. It is never too late. The Apostle Paul encourages you that your godly behaviour can lead your husband over to Christ, or vice versa, the husband to his wife.

Read, 1 Corinthians chapter 7:10-16.

Though Mrs Far-Above-Rubies was an exceptional wife. We are told not to copy her, but to copy CHRIST!

You are placed in the marriage to love your husband ‘to’ the LORD.

God will give you His Supernatural Love for him if you ask for it.

It may also mean that You may need to forgive your partner before God’s love begins to flow in and through your heart. Maybe you need to repent for your faults and failures.

“IS ANYTHING TO  HARD FOR THE LORD ?”

She IS VALUABLE.

“Her price is far above rubies.” She is worth more than all this world could offer!

SHE IS PRAISEWORTHY “Her children rise and call her blessed.”

HER PRE-EMINENCE.. “You excel them all.”

HER SECRET…”A Woman that fears the Lord.” So we can see this Lady is a Nice person, Praiseworthy, Prudent (avoiding rashness) and Upright…

Read verses 13-25 in this 30th chapter.

A GOOD WIFE is good to her husband and keeps his confidence.

She aids his Prosperity. Read verses 12-24.

SHE IS A GOOD MOTHER.

She is a blessing to her family.

She clothes her family wisely. They never go hungry because she shops sensibly. And will choose to travel, to purchase nutritious food.

Read verses. 21, 15, 27, v.14 and 18.

SHE IS A GOOD NEIGHBOUR.

She helps the poor and uplifts the needy. Her words are gracious. She loves people. She is not cutting, critical or cursing. She has a kind word for everyone.

Read verse 20 and verse 26. You can be this woman if you are wholly surrendered to the Spirit of God that He may live His Life in and through you.

Bless you, as you do!!

Email me if God puts it on your heart to support this ministry financially.

Ask the Lord to transform you into

A RUBY LADY.

It is important for you to read the relevant Scriptures to acquire an accurate portrait of our sweet lady.

Now let’s read it again!

1.THE SONG OF SOLOMON.

MUTUAL POSSESSION.

Mutual possession is expressed in Chapter 2:16.

What a joy it must be! ”

“MY BELOVED IS MINE AND I AM HIS.”

JESUS is bound to us and we to Him. “With cords that cannot be broken.”

CORDS (crushed by grief.)

You are bound to Him by His promises of an eternal Covenant.

The Divine Cord of LOVE.

The Cord of REDEMPTION.

And if we choose to be bound by them they will… LAST FOREVER!

THE STORY…

BLESSED BE HIS DEAR NAME.

SOLOMON is depicted as the lover himself. The king, accompanied by a courtly retinue (attendants), visited the Royal Vineyards on Mount Lebanon and came upon the beautiful Shulamite woman by surprise.

Very much afraid, she ran from them!

So Solomon disguised himself as as a Shepherd and visited her and so won her love.

He then came back in all his Royal state and invited her to leave Lebanon and become his Queen.

They are in the ceremony of marriage when the poem opens. Before we continue let us note the Bride’s safety.

She is the Dove in the cleft of the rock.

She is safe from the storms of life.

The rock is immovable… That Rock is Jesus.

Yes, He is “The Rock!” The Rock of Ages… sheltering you and me. See how much the bride is loved and admired by her husband.

The rock of Ages is the one we turn to in our time of need. He is enduring, unchanging and steadfast.

You must notice by now, that both Father God and Jesus is also GOD, both are THE ROCK OF AGES!

So let us trust the Lord, commit yourself to Him

Lean on Him and hope confidently in Him forever;

For the Lord God is the everlasting Rock of Ages.

Solomon said to her, “Let me see your beautiful face. Let me hear your wonderful voice.”

“Your voice is sweet and your face is comely.”

(pleasant to see).

Ladies, How do you react when your husband admires you or some physical part of your body?

Do you accept his compliments or throw them back into his face?

Ah !! Naw.. l’m too fat!! etc..

In this story the Bride gladly receives his admiration and is so enamoured by him, she is very quick to return his compliments.

MEN, Don’t give up ! She needs to be complemented and is worth complementing!

WOMEN, It is best if you refrain from saying a single negative word when replying.

Many of us as women suffer with a low,  (very low self-esteem

Say nothing! Except smile, and give thanks.

As men or women, we need to know that we are Precious in their sight.

If only we could see it!

Just be pleasantly pleased. And sweetly say…

“Thankyou!”

Humbly accept any form of praise.

Jesus bought you with His own Precious Blood. Hear Him speaking. He never views us with a critical eye.

“I LOVE YOU AS MY BELOVED… I GAVE MYSELF FOR YOU THAT I MIGHT PRESENT YOU TO MYSELF, A GLORIOUS CHURCH WITHOUT SPOT OR WRINKLE OR ANY SIMILAR THING.”

(OR ANY FAULT AT ALL) HOLY, WITHOUT BLEMISH.” Ephesians 5:25-27.

Oh, what a DAY OF REJOICING THAT WILL BE!

Jesus comes for His Bride!

When we feast together as His Bride. At the MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB!!

CAN’T WAIT!

AMEN.

2. THE BOOK OF PROVERBS.

WHERE IS JESUS IN THE BOOK OF PROVERBS?

The whole Bible points to Jesus.

An excellent book to study.

“Jesus, on the pages of my Bible. Jesus, He brings to my heart revival. Jesus my Wonderful Lord.”

His presence is sometimes referred to as the Red Thread.

The red thread is any passage, verse, or story, especially in the Old Testament that gives a hint of Jesus.

Finding Him in the Prophetic books is easier as there are direct prophesies concerning Him.

See Isaiah chapter 9:6,3.

“FOR UNTO US, A CHILD IS BORN. UNTO US A SON IS GIVEN, AND THE GOVERNMENT SHALL BE UPON HIS SHOULDER.”

HIS NAME SHALL BE CALLED.

WONDERFUL, COUNSELLOR, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, THE PRINCE OF PEACE.”

“How could people think that Jesus is not God?

“Great is the mystery of godliness: GOD manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory?”

1:Timothy 3:16.

JESUS IS GOD.

In the Narrative books of the Bible and the historical books, we notice a red thread and see glimpses of Jesus.

For example, the Passover lamb in Exodus chapter 12. Where the blood of the lamb is painted over the doorway to safeguard the inhabitants from death. The lamb died in the place of the firstborn. Jesus took your place by shedding His blood and dying for you, so you can have eternal life.

WHAT ABOUT THIS BOOK OF PROVERBS, IS JESUS HERE?

When we visit a Museum we don’t go there to have a coffee and cake, have a quick look and exit. We go there to ponder each piece of art. So, this is what we will do with some of the verses in Proverbs to remind us of Jesus.

PROVERBS 18:24. “There is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.” Even though this verse speaks of human relationships, we can choose carefully our wise friends. Jesus said, “I call you friends.”

He referred to his disciples as his friends.

In the book of Hebrews chapter 13:5

To comment: Heather Dalzell SMS 6104 17 545 814

He as a close friend will never leave you or forsake you. “So we can boldly say, and I shall not fear what man can do unto me.”

“He is the one who sticks closer than a brother.”

“Because He is the same yesterday, and today and forever.”

Hebrews 13: 5, 6, 8.

He promises in Matthew 28:20.

“I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS EVEN UNTO THE END OF THIS AGE.” (🌎)

“HE IS MORE PRECIOUS THAN SILVER.” Proverbs 8: 10,11.

A lovely song circled the Christian scene back in the ’70s.

“Lord, You Are more precious than Silver.

Lord, You are more costly than gold.

Lord, You are more beautiful than diamonds.

And nothing I desire compares with You.”

Proverbs 8:10,11. Lady Wisdom is spoken of as having birth, a beginning.

Jesus the Son had had no beginning. He is eternal, God in the flesh. So wisdom and Jesus are not the same person.

However, Jesus is the ultimate embodiment of wisdom. Not the Lady wisdom we spoke of previously. Jesus as God in the flesh. His earthly life was marked by wisdom.

To read more studies:

In Colossians 2:3. We read “That in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

Jesus lived out and fulfilled the book of Proverbs. Because He Is Wisdom, He also provides wisdom to His people. He promised the disciples following the resurrection they would receive His wisdom.

“For I will give you words, and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.”

Luke 21:15.

This was fulfilled by both Peter and Stephen.

Today for us as Christians the book of James suggests that if we lack wisdom, all we need to do is to ask God for much-needed wisdom and He will generously give it to us. James 1:5.

He never gets tired of you asking for Wisdom.

How does He pour out His Wisdom?

By giving us the book of Proverbs to read!

Hey… Let’s Read it!

Let’s Live it!

Amen.

1.THE BOOK OF PROVERBS.

WISDOM.

“TRUE WISDOM IS THE FEAR OF THE LORD.”

After we enjoyed reading some of the wonderful Psalms. We now turn to the Book of Proverbs which is full of Divine Wisdom. We may put it, that the general message in this book is…

“PRUDENCE (discretion) THROUGH PRECEPT.”

The English word “Proverb” means a brief saying, instead of many words. However, the Hebrew word, (mishle) has a wider meaning and is used in many sentences and discourses. It is a”TRUTH” expressed strikingly.

Practical Wisdom.

A proverb does not argue: it assumes It expresses a truth so we can understand that truth and commit it to memory, then live it!

I suggest that you read a chapter of this book each day of the month, as there are thirty-one chapters. If you do this for the rest of your days on this earth. You will become a wiser person and make fewer mistakes. You will prosper in all you do and have success.

THE AUTHOR.

King Solomon.

Solomon is the author of this book as it states this as a fact in chapter 10:1. and chapter 25 and says,

“These are the Proverbs of Solomon which the men of Hezekiah copied out.”

In the book of Kings, we are astounded by the fact that he spoke 3,000 of them.

(My what a wonderful memory.)

Proverbs is a book of practical wisdom.

1. chapter 1-9. Wisdom is the subject.

2. Chapters 10-24. Prudence is the subject.

3. Chapters 25-31. More Prudence.

Most Proverbs are contrasting sayings. He speaks a truth and presents a contrasting truth. Here is one…

“A MERRY HEART DOES GOOD, LIKE A MEDICINE: BUT… GRIEF DRIES UP THE BONES.”

Doctors agree that grief can be one of the major causes of arthritis and a compromised Immune system.

The Lord keeps reminding me to live a life of… JOY!

Paul writes: “REJOICE IN THE LORD AlWAYS AND AGAIN I SAY… REJOICE.”

This is a personal choice! We do not rejoice in our ever-changing feelings or circumstances, but only in God who never changes.

Some Proverbs are complete in their statements, for example, The first line agrees with the second.

“COMMIT YOUR WORKS TO THE LORD AND YOUR THOUGHTS WILL BE ESTABLISHED.”

When you read the chapters, they are not meant to be read as a narrative. They are meant to be read lingeringly! Slow down, ponder and pray over the proverb that speaks to you. Think about its meaning and how you can apply it to your life. Just “muse” upon them and “memorise” those that speak to you personally.

Teach them to your children.

Let’s look at Proverbs 3:5,6.

“TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART, LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING”

We are not to think things apart from God, but to cooperate with Him.”

“IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE WILL DIRECT YOUR PATHS.”

The writer is reminding us that trying to live life without God is Unproductive.

“PUT GOD FIRST IN EVERYTHING DO AND HE WILL CROWN YOUR EFFORTS WITH SUCCESS.”

So take your time, read the Word of God and allow it to become real in your life…to the point of change!

Bless you!

Amen.

WE MUST DO IT HIS WAY!

Thank you and may the Lord richly Bless you.

9. PSALM 119.

LOVING THE WORD OF GOD.

This Psalm is a psalm of praise and thanksgiving for the ‘Word of the Lord’                                  The Law, which is the Torah consists of statutes, laws, precepts, ordinances, regulations testimonies and commandments.

Every verse has a meaning that goes deep into the soul, changing our lives and giving us a deep hunger to love and obey God through His Word.

The Psalmist craves to honour God by taking heed to every warning,  instruction, and promise found therein.

It is not enough to speed-read your Bible and then claim that you read it from cover to cover every year, without allowing its words to cleanse and purify your life. You can read the Bible… theologically, devotionally, as history, scientifically, or as a dramatic story; or maybe you read it to claim its promises. However you choose to read it, it will speak to you.

“THE WORD IS  LIVING, POWERFUL, ACTIVE, SHARPER THAN ANY TWO SWORD CUTTING BETWEEN JOINTS AND MARROW. IT EXPOSES OUR INNERMOST THOUGHTS AND DESIRES.”

“Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes. So we are accountable before Him.”

Hebrews 4:12,13.

We need to allow time for the Holy Spirit to bring conviction deep into our souls so we can meditate (contemplate) what He is saying to us. God wants each of us to be upright in our hearts.

Get your eyes off other people’s lives. Allow the Living Word of God to judge you. Not many people agree on doctrine or interpretation of the Scriptures. Wars have been fought over them!

This particular Psalm 119, expresses the writer’s appreciation for the goodness, mercy, severity, faithfulness, righteousness and character of God and in so doing stands in awe of the Word of God.

Psalm 119:161. “MY HEART TREMBLES AT YOUR WORD.”

There are benefits to reading God’s Word. according to Psalm 119.

1. Cleanses our way.

2. Keeps us from sinning against God.

3. Revives us.

4. Strengthens us.

5. Showers God’s mercy on us.

6. Brings salvation to us.

7. Causes us to hope.

8. Gives life.

Do you want to live a happy fulfilled life?

Do you feel lonely and unsatisfied?

Do you want to draw closer and become more intimate with the Lord?

If your answer is, “Yes!” Then l suggest that you start reading the Bible.

If you are a new Christian, start with the Gospel of John. Please read it carefully and prayerfully.

Make it personal by inserting your name in appropriate places.

Mark any verse that God enlightens you in your meditation.

Pray about anything that God convicts you to change. Fears, worries, doubts,  unfaithfulness, unbelief or plain rebellion.

Read it several times, I promise you will find something new every time.

Commit to memory verses that speak to you, put them on your mirror or fridge until you have them in your memory for eternity.

Now don’t be one of those Christians who won’t read their Bible, but will read books of man’s opinions about the Bible. You’re reading ‘second-hand’ information and not the pure Word of God. Allow the ‘Teacher,’ that is the Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth.

Man’s opinions can lead you into deception, into legalism, into cults and into compromise and away from God. Many a poor decision is made and the consequences are dire if you do not make them according to God’s Word.

I always read this psalm in one sitting and apply it to my life. Try it!   Pray this request in

Psalm 119:18.

As you read this wonderful Psalm decide to be obedient to the commandments, and statutes, not because you have to, but rather because you love Him and want to.

“HOW SHALL A (YOUNG, OLD OR MIDDLE-AGED PERSON) BE CLEANSED FROM HIS WAYWARD LIFE?

BY TAKING HEED AND KEEPING WATCH ON HIMSELF ACCORDING TO GOD’S WORD.”

The writer reveals that he will draw closer to God by…

1. Yearning for God.

2. Respecting His Words.

3. Delighting to read the Commandments.  Allowing the Word to break his heart 💘.

4. Then he allows it to rebuild his life into the image of God. (Christ)

Dear reader, the time is coming when the Bible will be banned as it is in some countries already. You must hide it in your heart. You see the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and He inspired men by the Holy Spirit to write down what they saw and heard. The Bible is God’s Word and is the most precious possession on this earth.

If your house caught on 🔥 fire, what would be the first thing you would grab after your family was safe?

I would grab my Bible!!!

I love God’s Word and it is my most treasured possession. More precious than Gold or Silver. My Bible is settled in Heaven, eternal and Secure! I implore you to make it the highest of priorities in your life…and I promise you,

YOU WILL NEVER BE SORRY!

Amen.

SPREAD THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL.

8. PSALM 139.

THE ALKNOWING GOD.

As we have noticed the Psalms are filled with praise and worship. This Psalm 139 is no different as it is full of reasons for why we should bring Glory and Honour to His Name.

HE HAS ALWAYS KNOWN YOU… BEFORE TIME!

Please take the time to prayerfully read this wonderful Psalm, and Meditate upon it. (chew over it!)

This awesome Psalm was written by David and is addressed to the ‘Shining One.’

The Light of the world is Jesus.

He calls to mind how God your Creator is intimately acquainted with you and nothing is hidden from Him.

He knows everything about you, yes everything!

Note that there are 44 personal pronouns in this Psalm.  “I,”  “Me,” and  “My.” David is overwhelmed by God’s infinite interest in him.

God knows his every thought, word, and action even his motivation behind what He chooses to do.

Are you surprised to know that He knew these things about you before you were conceived in your mother’s womb?

LIFE BEGINS AT CONCEPTION.

(That is why abortion is murder, as you are a living created being, the moment you were conceived.)

Imagine this! He knows your thoughts before you bring them to your mind. So He even answers the prayers you think toward Him. I have experienced this time and time again.

You see, prayer is the soul’s sincere desire unuttered or unexpressed.

That doesn’t mean that we don’t voice our prayers of course we do. The point I’m bringing to you is, that God answers some prayers before we utter them.

“BEFORE YOU CALL I WILL ANSWER.”

HE KNOWS EVERY THOUGHT.

Does that scare you?  I’ve found that, over the years of being a born-again Christian, my thoughts are shaped by what I allow to influence me.                             The World … Media, etc.  The flesh … My selfish desires, … and the Devil. Demons to whom I have opened the door of my mind.

So I have put away the things that damage my thinking and trouble my dreams.

You need to do the same and ask God to reveal each of them to you.

It is possible to have ‘God’s thoughts’ because we have been given:

The Mind of Christ.

The Wisdom of God.

The Discernment of the Holy Spirit.

The Pure Word of God.

Dear Christian, it is possible to live with a pure, holy mind if we reprogram it according to the Scriptures.

“BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND.

“Romans 12:1,2.

Repent of evil thinking. Such as lust, anger,  critical spirit, and bitterness, revenge and rejection. All of these and anything else that manipulates your thinking, get rid of them as soon as they pop into your mind. Or they will bear fruit in your life.

For example, Lust can lead to pornography which often results in the actual sin of… rape, molestation and sexual deviation. Then as James warns us, it leads to death. Spiritual death in hell!

All this can come from harbouring one thought from the world, the flesh and the devil.

As Paul admonishes us. “Put away all evil thinking.”

Pray with David in this Psalm by asking God to…

“Search me oh God and know my heart ❤️. Try me and know my thoughts. And see if there be any wicked way in me,and lead me into the everlasting way.”

Yes, cleanse me from every sin and set me free!

God knows all about you, He knows everything.

He knows what you are doing, thinking, and feeling at this very moment. And He cares! You are never alone, just call upon His Name and be saved. He records everything that you ever think, feel any He knows the intentions of your heart. He keeps a record of every intent of your heart in His books.

One day those books will be opened for the world to see and all will be revealed, both good and evil. That’s why it is imperative to give your life to Jesus.

There is one set for non-Christians. Then a book or life for Christians, and those written in the Lamb’s Book of Life are eternally saved and solely judged for rewards.

NO ONE CAN ARGUE WITH GOD. HE ALWAYS WINS!

He is watching, listening and observing your every move.

He observes in love, not in condemnation. He is so ready to forgive and sweep you up into His arms of love. Then you will be His forever and ever.

“Oh, what a wonderful Saviour.”

Everything that has happened in your life is known to Him. He knows your great hidden secrets, nothing is hidden from Him.

You may hide them under lock and key, but God writes them on your face for all to see!

How can a man cleanse his way? “By taking heed to the Word of God.” Get into the habit of reading God’s Holy Word, and learn relevant scriptures that change the way you think.

God is in control of everything that concerns you.

Please do what I have had to do every moment of the day, that is, surrender every thought into the captivity of Christ.

Claim His shed blood over your mind. Then follow closely the Life of the Lord Jesus Christ.

A prayer of Salvation.

Thank you, Lord, You know all about me. You are truly God, and I give my life to You at this very moment. In the name of your Son, the Lord Jesus, please forgive my sins, failures and rebellion. Come into my life and make me your own, change me by the power of your Holy Spirit, and I now choose to follow Him always.

Amen.

7. PSALM ONE!

TWO TYPES OF PEOPLE …

THE BLESSED AND THE UNGODLY.

Charles Hadden Spurgeon said. “Sinners cannot live in Heaven; they would be out of their element. Sooner could a fish live upon a tree than the ungodly could live in Paradise.” So, the only way to live in Heaven is to be born again and become new creatures with pure hearts, able to fully enjoy the presence of God, the Angels, and the redeemed, our true Christian friends.

BLESSED. Translated as “blissful” due to the blessings he is receiving or about to receive. It also could be paraphrased as.

“How rewarding is the life of the person who … etc.”

There is a real contrast between those who follow God’s ways and those who choose their own way of living.

As Christians, we all have individual choices to make: Where we sit. Where we walk. Where we stand! Because people influence us, whoever they may be, Christian or Non-Christian.

Our Friends.

Sometimes we don’t carefully discern the person with whom we make friends. It is not until we are wounded by them or we have been led astray to their way of living.

It’s then we realise we became too close and we surrendered our hearts to them and we were ‘burnt’ from the fire of manipulation and control.

So this Psalm is a loving, gentle warning to the righteous in Christ, to choose wisely whom you embrace into your lives. People influence us! First, we must learn to live God’s way. Then reject those who do not follow God’s standards according to His Word.

There are people for whom you would swim an ocean to help, but they will not cross a puddle to help you! These people are just using you and will reject you if you offend them.

If you are caught up in such relationships, then in a Christlike way, end them!

We witness to our acquaintances … We become friends with the Godly.

Who are these ungodly people and how do I recognise them?

Usually, they are consumed by themselves and have no regard for God and His Word, including Church attendance, witnessing for Christ, and reading their Bibles. They can be charming people, but they compromise their moral standards by adopting the world’s standards.

This is where they try to seduce you away from the Lord in devious ways. As the world gets more and more evil the churches are not far behind through compromise.

CHURCH! STAND UP, STAND UP FOR JESUS.

Make sure you attend a Bible-believing, Spirit-led, Soul-Winning Church.

‘GO’ WHERE YOU CAN ‘GROW’ IN CHRIST.

Psalm One tells us regarding the ungodly…

WALK NOT, in their company. Don’t listen to them or take their advice.

STAND NOT, in places where they congregate, keep your communication “short.” Don’t listen to gossip or join in conversations that criticises other people.

SIT NOT, Don’t make them your friends or you will be influenced by them.

THE CONTRAST…

THE GODLY, LOVE THE WORD OF GOD.

They meditate on it day and night. Meaning he “murmurs” or recites it from memory, to put it into practice in his own life.

You are never too old or too young to memorize scripture. Why don’t you choose an easy verse of scripture such as,

John 3:16.

“FOR GOD DO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.”

Say it over and over again until it sits comfortably in your subconscious mind. Then it will remain forever!!

This is what purifies your heart and it is expressed by Godly behaviour.

So the Godly are: SAVED THROUGH CHRIST! YOU ARE A NEW PERSON IN CHRIST…

“Old things are passed away and all things become new.”

SEPARATED – FROM THE WORLD!

What do you allow yourself to watch on TV? What do you read? What about your relationship standards? Your entertainment. Your speech, your dress? We need to be ‘set apart’ from the things that would cause us to stumble and fall away from God. It is called ‘Holy Living.’

THE GODLY.

They are: SANCTIFIED (set apart) LIVING A GODLY LIFE.

The results are:

HE IS A FRUITFUL TREE. Planted by the riverside, a stream of nourishment to bring forth fruit in his season here on this earth.

WHATEVER HE DOES HE SHALL PROSPER.

Prosper in all areas of life. Spiritually. Mentally. Physically. Financially.

Read Jer 17:7,8.

HE IS CAREFULLY PLANTED.

HE IS WONDERFULY PROTECTED.

HIS FRUIT IS PROLIFIC.

THE COMING JUDGMENT.

There is a time of coming judgement, where there will be a distinction between the Godly and the Ungodly.

“THE GODLY ARE IN THE COMPANY OF THE UPRIGHT.” Malachi 3:2.

THE UNGODLY WILL PERISH!                Psalm 1:4-6.

They shall not stand when judged by God.

Will be separated from the Godly.

Driven away by the Spirit of God.

They will perish!

In light of this Psalm. We need to re-evaluate our lives to see if we are among the Godly. The first thing you must do to be counted among the Godly is… To become Godly yourself.

Admit you are a sinner. Believe that Jesus shed his blood and died on the cross to forgive, save, heal and deliver you.

Ask Him into your life and make it new. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you and make you like Jesus. Then follow Him.

Then fellowship with other Christians of like mind, so you can grow in the Grace and favour of God.

Amen.

6. PRAYING… PSALM 61.

IT IS OK TO CRY!

TURN YOUR TEARS INTO JOY! PSL 61:1

“Hear my cry, oh Lord … Attend unto my prayer.”

This Psalm begins with crying and ends with singing. Please open your Bible and read this wonderful psalm.

David commences. “HEAR MY CRY LORD”

Then enthusiastically concludes,

“I WILL SING”

God takes note of all your tears.

NIGHT IS TURNED INTO DAY: SORROW INTO JOY; GLOOM INTO SUNSHINE.

The oil of joy banishes mourning and the garment of praise does away with heaviness. How did this delightful transformation take place? We all need to know the secret of how to turn sorrow into joy. How did David do it?

Before David’s crying turned into joy and singing. He turned to God in prayer. He began, “Hear my cry” He added.

“Do something about my prayer.”

He allowed his tears to fall on the lap of Jehovah.

Sorrows, trials and troubles you should see are, ‘Blessings ‘ that are stepping stones to God’s HEART. Anything that draws you closer to Him is:

HIS GOODNESS IN DISGUISE.

God understands your cry even if you cannot articulate your prayer. Why? Because He Knows you personally and hears your particular cry. He is interested in your heart, more than all the good deeds you do.

Jesus knew the hearts of men. “He heals the broken in heart.”

He knows the sound of your voice and sees your tears. He takes note of those tears and every tear you have wept and places them in His bottle. He knows the reason for those tears 😭 and on that glorious day, the Day of the Lord, He will wipe them dry.

If you’re too distraught to even talk to Him about how you feel, then … Cry! Yes cry and keep crying … until it’s all laid on Him. He weeps with you!

He weeps with you.

Jesus knew what it was like to shed tears.

He wept at the tomb of Lazarus.

He cried over Jerusalem.

He wept in the garden. and I am sure…

He wept on that cruel cross … not for Himself, but for those who brutally put Him there. His were the tears of deep compassion for others.

He cried, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” These were tears of forgiveness.

Maybe you need to forgive that abuser, that liar, the cruel words that have been spoken over you. Forgive the rape, the abortion. Most of all you need to…

Forgive yourself for your own bad choices, that caused you so much pain.

Forgive the rejection and all the hurt you have been holding on to all these years.

Some people also need to forgive God, not that He is to blame for sin against you. He is without sin. Forgiving God is really a way of cleansing yourself from your own bitterness and resentment … forgiving Him for allowing that adverse situation in your life.

Of course, when you forgive God, it gives you the freedom to trust Him once more. God loves you and He never changes. He cannot and will not sin.

Remember that Jesus has already forgiven you! Don’t confess the same sin over and over. He will be saying to you, “Heather, what sin?”

FORGIVE … THEN LET IT GO! Yes, give them all to Jesus. Let go, do it now. Cry! Receive HIS FORGIVENESS.

He as an intercessor, weeps with the Holy Spirit before the Father with groanings unutterable for you and me. That is how much He loves you!

Tears are God’s cleansing agents to set you free.

Do you know that at His return to this earth in great glory, His people, the Jews will weep in repentance, tears of great sorrow for Him whom they pierced?

Today He hears your cry each time you weep for yourselves, your family and the souls of men.

“HE HEARS THE CRY OF HIS SAINTS,”

“HE HAS HEARD YOUR PRAYERS.”

NEVER DOUBT IT. EVERY HEART CRY IS HEARD AND INTERPRETED IN HEAVEN! LET IT ALL OUT!

You may ask,

“Then how can I sing if I am still hurting so bad?” By giving them all to Jesus, wounded hearts, broken dreams, battered lives. Hand over to Him all that anger, bitterness and resentment and unforgiveness.

Lay upon Him all your disappointments, mistakes and failures, your guilt and shame…

Hold nothing back, cry it out as He holds you in His warm embrace.

Let those pent-up tears flow, open the floodgates of your life and surrender yourself into His loving arms.

“CAST ALL YOUR CARES UPON HIM, FOR HE CARES FOR YOU.”

“ARE YOU TIRED AND WEARY, FILLED WITH TROUBLE AND DESPAIR?”

“DOES YOUR BURDEN PRESS YOU, BENEATH ITS WORRY AND IT’S CARE”

“ARE YOU GROWING WEARY IN THE STRUGGLE OF IT ALL?”

“REACH OUT TO JESUS … HE’S REACHING OUT TO YOU.”

“HE IS ALWAYS THERE HEARING EVERY PRAYER, FAITHFUL AND TRUE, WALKING BY YOUR SIDE IN HIS LOVE WE HIDE ALL THE DAY THROUGH.”

“WHEN YOU,

GET DISCOURAGED, JUST REMEMBER WHAT TO DO… REACH OUT TO JESUS. HE’S REACHING OUT TO YOU.”

This is a song I once knew over fifty years ago. It still ministers to me today, may it bless you. I am not sure if it is the word perfect but the message is poignant.

Amen.

5. PRAYING PSALM 103.

PSALM  103.                                           We could easily title this Psalm as,

“AMAZING GRACE.”

It is a personal, testimonial of the psalm of Worship and Praise to God in thanksgiving for all His benefits toward us, so we praise,

HIS HOLY NAME.

The Psalmist first shares his reasons for praise in verses 1-5. (Please read this psalm and put your name in the appropriate places and pray them with thanksgiving to the Lord our God.)                                       He enthusiastically urges himself to thank God for the blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon him.                  He doesn’t take each one for granted as we tend to do! His whole being praises God with Respectful awe.

Remember the story of Christ healing the ten lepers, where only one man returned to give praise and thanks for his healing. The miracle occurred as they were going to the priest.

“They were cured and made clean as they were going.” That’s what genuine faith is! Believing in your answer, before you see it! And giving thanks.

“HE ‘HAS’ HEALED ALL MY SICKNESS AND DISEASE.”

The first and best blessing to recall is that God,

“FORGIVES EACH AND EVERY ONE OF OUR INIQUITIES, SINS AND TRANGRESSIONS.”  Calvary Covers it All!

“HE KISSES OUR HEARTS WITH AFFECTIONATE FORGIVENESS!”                  (Passion Translation.)

Isn’t that lovely?

Here is his testimony.

“You have healed every trace of sickness and disease.”

It seems that the writer had suffered from a serious life-threatening disease, but the Lord healed him fully… inside and out, of every disease. (Past tense)

This is also true for us, as Jesus Has Already Healed us by the wounds that wounded Him.

Isa 53:4-6.

1st Peter 2:24.

“BY HIS WOUNDS YOU (ARE) present tense and (WERE) HEALED” ( past tense)

Jesus’ sacrifice is a Finished Work! The writer was kept from hell and destruction and counts it a tremendous blessing.

But instead, the Lord Crowns him with Loving kindness and Tender mercies.

All these gifts are fit for a king and will enrich his life. Jesus is your perfect and complete sacrifice … (Once and for all.)

He not only satisfies the king. But satisfies you at your age with good things so that your youth is being renewed as that of an Eagle, (Restoration and Strength!)

(Thank Him for that!) As we wait on Him, our strength is renewed —physically, mentally, and spiritually. (Praise Him for that!)

We are empowered by the Holy Spirit and as an eagle that mounts toward the sun, we are lifted into realms of Glory into the arms of the ‘SON’ OF GOD.’ (Honour Him for that.)

We shall,

“RUN AND NOT BE WEARY, AND WALK AND NOT FAINT.”

  (Read and thank God for

Isaiah chapter 40:28-31)                     Praise the Lord!

It is not wrong to mark your Bible!

“TEACH ME LORD, HOW TO WAIT!”

Isn’t it wonderful to pray, along with the Psalms?

Now that you have begun to pray… Please Don’t Stop!

Amen.

Peace descends and settles as you pray.
