THE FINAL WARNING.
John gives a final warning to those who read his prophesy.
He warns us not to add to or take away from this revelation given to him by God.
There are dire consequences to those who change or distort the message of the book of Revelation. See verse 18 of this chapter.
“God will add to them the plagues written therein.”
We must not follow those who pervert God’s Holy Word for their own financial gain or personal popularity, or to throw doubt about its authenticity.
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you the reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.“
1 Peter 3:15.
Don’t allow people to falsely accuse you of being erroneous in your interpretation of what is written.
There are many interpretations of the meaning of Revelation throughout its chapters.
Basically, people see it as symbolic or literal.
Don’t argue with these people who want to prove they are Biblically correct for their own sake.
They are trying to prove you wrong because they are “always right” for the wrong reason.
Some people have what I call a ”Religious spirit,” a demon who is leading them into error in their thinking. These people are constantly finding fault with the plain sense of the Word by changing the interpretation to suit their way of thinking.
They either argue from silence or use other scriptures out of context to prove their point.
This is how cults emerge and gain many followers.
Don’t insult people by saying to them, “Read your Bible!” As they may have read it more than you.
Keep this easy, practicle way of interpreting the Bible in your mind.
“IF THE PLAIN SENSE MAKES SENSE, SEEK NO OTHER SENSE.“
Pray before you read or study God’s Word.
The Holy Spirit will lead you into all truth.
John 16:13-16.
If you are in error, be humble and admit it. Be ready to unlearn so that you may relearn the truth of the Bible.
Always be open-minded and definitely do not become dogmatic or legalistic about what you believe, or put down someone who chooses to believe differently from you.
We are to “love one another with pure hearts fervently.”
You can soon discern those who are false teachers by their fruits. They lack character, are dishonest, rude, and arrogant, and are more determined to follow doctrine than to do what is right by leading someone to Christ.
We are to examine ourselves, work out our own salvation experience and lovingly share the truth of the Gospel of Christ.
We will all stand before God on the day of Judgement, and He will reward us according to our deeds done in the flesh.
You may be like Pilate and ask this question,
“What is truth?”
ABSOLUTE TRUTH.
To many people, truth is merely relative; that is, we decide it for ourselves based on our circumstances and experiences.
At his trial, Pilate asked Jesus this question, and Jesus stated,
“THY WORD IS TRUTH.”
The point being that God’s Word does not merely, contain ideas and concepts that are true, it is TRUTH itself. Jesus is Truth!
Every part of it, every statement made, every doctrine that is taught is true.
It is the fruit of truth. Without it, we would be lost in a sea of ideas, opinions, philosophies, and dreams.
Sadly, today’s church has slowly moved away from truth and is blinded by the philosophies of men. Truth has been replaced by what is politically correct and socially accepted beliefs based on experience.
That was not the way of the Early Church. To them the Word of God was not only truth, but precious and they personally contended for it.
Despite what modernists and liberal theologians think, we know that: TRUTH IS NON-NEGOTIABLE
NOTE: Doctrine should not be open to debate.
WE DONT GET TO DEBATE WHAT THE BIBLE MEANS.
It tells us itself what it means, and we have the ‘Holy Spirit’ to guide us into all truth.
Today’s ministers and clergy spiritualise all day long. They will try to convince you that the Second Coming will not be a physical return and that God didn’t create everything in six literal 24-hour days.
They will tell you that God will not keep His promises to Israel, and they are meant for the Church.
They teach a watered- down Gospel of works for Salvation.
That sin is a ‘mistake’ or a ‘failure’ and not rebellion against God and His Holy Word.
They excuse the doctrine of Hell and eternal punishment.
All this leads to idolatry and immorality of every kind practised by Christians, and so much more compromising behaviour.
They teach these things in the pulpits all over the World-
BUT IT DOES NOT MAKE THEM TRUE!!
They have missed the boat, because the, “TRUTH HAS ALREADY BEEN DECLARED”
(God did not consult them first.)
The Apostles Doctrine is solid, non- negotiable today as when it was given. It truly the basis of all Christianity and…
REALLY NOT OPEN TO DEBATE.
“THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS BE WITH YOU.”
