1. THE EPISTLE TO THE CORINTHIANS.

INTRODUCTION.

The remaining Temple of Aphroditeis.

THE FIRST BOOK OF CORINTHIANS.

If you are a Christian, or have been specifically called by God to the Ministry these books penned by Paul are written primarily for you.

It will demand a –

SUPERNATURAL, SUPER HUMAN SELF ABASEMENT.

See 1 Corinthians chapter 4:9-13.

Why? Because you step up in to the area of being a spectator of all men, and to the heavenly host who are watching from the realms of glory.

FOR WE ARE MADE A SPECTACLE UNTO THE WORLD, AND THE ANGELS AND TO MEN.”

This drama of life and death is being played out in the theatre of life for all to see.

Theatre is the very Greek word for “spectacle” used here.

“We are a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden.”

That’s how it’s supposed to be!

The unseen witnesses above are bending to gaze upon the life struggle between:

LIGHT AND DARKNESS.

SIN AND HOLINESS.

FAITH AND FALSEHOOD.

SUFFERING AND TRIUMPH.

“These things which the angels look into.”

What a contrast between the angelic Spectators and those of us who struggle in the Arena.

The world sees us as: “Filthy, the off-scouring of things this day.”

That is how they viewed Jesus and how they view the Christian today.

Paul was very much alive to this and has encouraged us through these wonderful EPISTLES TO THE CORINTHIAN CHURCH OF HIS DAY.

BACKGROUND.

ANCIENT CORINTH.
CORINTH A RICH TRADE CENTER.

Corinth at the time of Paul was rather a very rich commercial city. It was the capital of the Roman province of Achia.

It as a good sized city with moral issues as were many other cities in Greece.

Corinth was nicknamed,

“SIN CITY”

This culture of ungodly worldliness was still very much a part of this church and many easily slid back into that type of thinking and put aside the truth they once knew.

Deal with your own sin not someone else’s.
Amen, so true!

They didn’t seem to mind that some of the members were committing adultery with no correction from the Leadership. Unbelievers around them had higher morals and better characters than those within this four year old Church.

Some schisms (divisions) caused dear friends to separate from each other, all over which preacher they should follow: Paul, Apollos, Peter or Christ. The choice of whom they should follow caused a Spirit of superiority to rule, forcing them to judge each other instead of loving and accepting one another unconditionally.

They were suing one another in public courts.

JESUS WILL PASS judgment at THE FINAL COURT IN THE LAST DAYS.

You will never find the Perfect Church, nor will you find the Perfect Christian. No, not ever!!

So, Don’t have a performance base for acceptance for other people. They will never measure up to your legalistic expectations.

Stop looking and praying about the faults in other sisters and brothers in Christ; instead, as Paul admonishes.

“JUDGE YOURSELF SO YOU WILL NOT BE JUDGED.”

Our goal is, to love one another with a “pure heart fervently”

The Church at Corinth were in decline.

The sacred ordinance of the Lord’s supper a Holy and blessed institution had become a secular party where they were celebrating themselves and the food they ate in a glutterous way rather than the death of the Lord Jesus Christ.

HOLY COMMUNION.

Spiritual gifts had become a contention. They were divided on the issue of speaking in tongues. This is still prevalent today, with some Christians teaching that you cannot be saved if you do not speak in tongues. Paul addressed this in 1 Corinthians chapter 13.

LOVE IS THE SUPERIOR GIFT.

Paul supported himself financially in the trade of tent 🎪 making so that he would be beyond reproach in this divided Church.

What can we learn from this ancient struggling Church.

BE FAITHFUL.

BE LOYAL!

BE KIND,                       FORGIVING.

BE HOLY!

BE CAREFUL!

BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT!

LOVE  UNCONDITIONALLY!

Amen.

Bless You!

4. THE BOOK OF ROMANS.

“ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD?”

Do they?

This verse is the most misquoted verse in the Bible if not truly understood.

He we are almost halfway through June  in the middle of 2025. Did all things work together for your good?

Let’s read the full verse together;

All things, at all times, in every circumstance.

FOR WE KNOW THAT ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD, TO THEM THAT LOVE GOD, TO THEM WHO ARE THE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE.”

Romans 8:28.

Is this a promise or a  principle?

Then why don’t things work together for us when we have claimed it?

Does your happiness depend on things working for good or bad?

THINGS WORK … LIFE IS GOOD!

THINGS DO NOT WORK … LIFE IS BAD!

Hopeless and Helpless without God.

It’s a mistaken concept.

You mistakenly think that this verse is telling as that the         “things” work together for your good,

“on their own”

However, in light of the Biblical teaching on Divine Providence as to what is happening to you at this moment.

Paul is telling us that, “GOD HIMSELF WORKS FOR GOOD” in all things is reassuring.

It means no matter your circumstances there are “two qualifications” for God to be working together for your own good.

You know that God Himself is at work in every aspect of your life and you must align yourself with His purpose to bring glory to Him in this time knowing you will see the full glory in the after-life.

THE FIRST QUALIFICATION.

He works for the good for those

“WHO LOVE HIM”

With all of my heart!! ❤️

If you love God, you can trust that He is now at work for your good. He loves you unconditionally, and generous in His workings. Oh, dear reader, God wants the best for you, practically or spiritually.

THE SECOND QUALIFICATION.

He works, “for those who are “the called” according to His purposes.”

At the very moment God is submitting His purposes for you.

You have been called by Him for a higher purpose that you may not know.

You see God’s purpose actually reminds us what our good is…

It’s not our comfort, or prosperity, or to make life easy without any problems or challenges along the way, or for acceptance from others.

IT IS TO THE FURTHERING OF HIS PURPOSE “THROUGH US.” AND “IN US.”

Sometimes, I want immediate outcomes so I can see the good in what is happening now!

I have learned that it can take years to understand that it was for my good, protection, or my success. God’s good hand was always upon me, and it took faith to trust His Love and leading when I could not understand.

He doesn’t always do it the way I would have liked Him to do it!

HERE IS WHERE FAITH COMES IN.

Waiting, watching, not worrying, and walking by faith when you cannot see the final purpose of the test.

A good response toward the Lord is to praise and worship Him, it will result in your growing gracefully into the likeness of Jesus Christ.

The dilemma ceases when you quietly wait and see the Salvation of the Lord. We must never cease to praise and worship Him so that verse twenty-nine becomes a reality.

VERSE TWENTY NINE … in the New Living translation.

FOR GOD KNEW HIS PEOPLE IN ADVANCE AND HE CHOSE THEM TO BECOME THE IMAGE OF HIS SON JESUS CHRIST.”

It’s a process that is dependant upon our complete surrender.

Here it is … the whole purpose for adverse circumstances is,

GOD IS CONFORMING YOU INTO THE LIKENESS AND IMAGE OF HIS SON.

He, by the power of the Holy Spirit is …

“MAKING YOU LIKE JESUS.”

We are being changed into His likeness and image!
Amen!

Oh, how wonderful, How worth-it-all.

This is what God planned for you all along. That is the purpose of Romans 8:28.

Memorize both verses as they are beautifully knitted together and do as I have done,

COULD YOU MAKE THEM YOUR LIFE VERSES ALSO?

Amen and Amen.

PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW!

3. THE BOOK OF ROMANS.

THE DEEPER MEANING OF THE GOSPEL.

THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL.

Not many of us truly understand the depths of the Gospel. So, I will venture to explain as the Holy Spirit enlightens me.

1. THE GOSPEL IS THE POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION.

This is known as the GOOD NEWS. We find this in.

  1. Corinthians chapter 15:1-4.
THE GLORIOUS GOSPEL.

Paul declares …

” I AM NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST. IT IS THE POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION.”

Jesus Christ died for your sins, He was buried and praise God He rose from the dead.

        2.THE PLAN OF SALVATION.

“FOR UNTO US IS BORN THIS DAY- SAVIOUR – CHRIST THE LORD.” Luke chapter 2:16

UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN, A SON IS GIVEN.

You can be Saved from the punishment of sin resulting in eternal death and hell.

3. THE WRATH OF GOD.

God hates sin, not the sinner. Romans chapter 5:10 says, “God is angry with the wicked every day.” Sin provokes God to be Angry at its utter rebellion and disobedience towards His Holiness. Let’s view John chapter 3:36.

“AND HE THAT BELIEVES NOT IN THE SON OF GOD, THE WRATH OF GOD ABIDES ON HIM..( or HER.”)

4. UNRIGHTEOUS.

This means … Living your life apart from God.

          5. WITHOUT      EXCUSE.

You are without excuse.                 None of your excuses will satisfy a Holy God. Nor can you blame anyone else for your behaviour. When you finally stand before God, you will stand completely alone, and you will be judged for not accepting  His remedy for sin.

WE MUST ALL STAND BEFORE THE JUDGEMENT SEAT OF GOD.

That means you need to trust in His plan of Salvation through Jesus Christ the Lord as there is no other way.

“ALL HAVE SINNED.” Because sin is inherently in us.  We are born with a sinful nature; it is this nature that breeds sins, which was passed down to us from Adam and Eve.

SINS THAT WE EASILY COMMIT.

That’s why Scripture says we are…

            6. GUILTY.

The fact is,  we are all guilty and condemned. Why? Because,

TRUE REPENTANCE.

“THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NO, NOT ONE.”

We think we are friendly people and do nice things for one another. That is not be sufficient before a Holy God.

7. RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Is not the good things that you have done, but according to “His” mercy which He has bestowed upon you that will save.

You are declared righteous when you receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour.                                              See Romans chapter 2-23. and Romans chapter 5:17.

The Wonderful thing is, Salvation is a free gift, it cannot be earned.

8. JUSTIFICATION.

Once you are Saved, you are …

“DECLARED RIGHTEOUS”.             and you are given supernatural PEACE WITH GOD THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.

           9. WHOSOEVER

This means “you.”

Hey, this means what it says: Anyone! Oh, dear reader, Jesus wants to save, heal and deliver and prosper you spiritually, physically and mentally.

Romans chapter 10:13. “FOR, ‘WHOSOEVER’ SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD, SHALL BE SAVED.”

IT IS A NORMAL,  NATURAL GOD GIVEN THING YOU MUST DO.

All you need to do … ASK HIM TO SAVE YOU!

      10. SAVED!!

When you  simply believe and ask, you will receive.

Luke chapter 19:10.

“FOR THE SON OF MAN IS COME TO SEEK AND SAVE, THOSE WHO ARE LOST.”

I love this promise given to us by Jesus Christ.                           “IF YOU ASK THE FATHER ANYTHING IN MY NAME HE WILL GIVE IT TO YOU.”

Ecstatic Joy.

What a wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord; what a wonderful Savior He is!

What more can l say?

Only this!

Do it today.

Do it now.

Don’t delay.

Here is how you can pray.

“Lord Jesus, I admit I am a sinner and cannot save myself. I believe that you died to take away my sin. Today, I ask you to forgive and save my soul, come into my life, change me, and fill me with the Holy Spirit.” Amen.

God’s richest blessings be upon you.

Amen.

2.THE BOOK OF ROMANS.

A SUMMERY OF THE GOSPEL.

In the initial chapters, Paul focuses on doctrine, specifically on the pillars of truth that we know about ourselves and God.

The last five chapters focus more apon advice and encouragement on how to live our lives with this Godly knowledge.

THE MAIN MESSAGE.

1.God’s promises to us as His children and how we have not been faithful to His Old Covenant.

Praise His wonderful Name, Jesus established a New Covenant (agreement) that is open to all people everywhere. God has created a multi-ethnic family whose self giving love and forgiveness and friendship is  always at the center of everything.

We are all part of the family of God.

Allow me to ask you. What is in your opinion the most important chapter of the book of Romans?

Personally, I believe it could be chapter 8 as it has everything we should know.

It begins with, justification by faith through Grace alone. God’s free gift to us.

Justification means that the worst sin you have ever committed is pardoned and you are are now…

AS IF YOU HAD NEVER SINNED IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Wow! What love and Grace God bestows upon us who believe.

Then Paul gave more instructions on how to live a Godly and Holy Life of obedience.

This is called SANCTIFICATION, i.e. to change us into the likeness and image of the Lord Jesus Christ. Twins!!                        All this takes place through the work of the Holy Spirit.

So the main message of the book of Romans is … You and I as human beings lack God’s Righteousness due to  our inherit sinful nature and only He can change us from within to become the …

‘RIGHTEOUSNESS OF CHRIST.’

THE FIVE MAIN MESSAGES OF THE BOOK OF ROMANS ARE…

1.We are all sinners.

2. We are made right with God through Jesus Christ.

3. We exercise our faith in the Finished work of the Cross. This includes everything for which Jesus paid the price when He suffered and died and rose again. That is …

Our SALVATION, our HEALING, our DELIVERANCE from the Evil one and his powers of darkness….Now!!

4.Then we are United with Christ, one in Him, through Him.

5. The Lord adopts us as His own special Children and we are being changed into His likeness and image.

Have you thought like Martin Luther that you are a too great a sinner to receive God’s gift of Salvation?

Oh, no you are not beyond His Grace. He loves you despite your actions. His undeserved, unearned favour is wholly for you and wants the best for you.

The GOSPEL OF GRACE.

Why don’t you repent of your sins this moment. Tell him everything you have done holding nothing back. Admit that you don’t have the power to save yourself from sins penalty and you need Him to cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

Now thank Jesus that He shed His precious blood so you can be set free.

Now, ask Jesus to come into your life to cleanse, heal and deliver you.

Now, make Him Lord (boss) of your life and ask the Holy Spirit to baptise you with power from on high to live in this sin sick world.

I promise you that you will ‘Never’ be the same again. Now rejoice in your new found freedom and tell someone that you are now a true born again child of God.

If you prayed this prayer, please email me and let me know so I can pray for you .

God Cares!

1. THE BOOK OF ROMANS.

GOD’S AMAZING GRACE.

The Grace of the book of Romans.

THE CHIEF BOOK OF THE NEW TESTAMENT….IT DESERVES TO BE KNOWN BY HEART, WORD FOR WORD, BY EVERY CHRISTIAN.” Martin Luther.

Matin Luther, the reformer of Christianity.

Yes dear Luther, as it is the profoundest piece of of writing in existence.

We will have a quick  look at the life of Martin Luther, one of the world’s greatest reformers.

Martin was caught up in Legalism of the early Roman Catholic Church. He struggled with the doctrine of Salvation and could not grasp the freedom that could be his by Grace alone through faith. He tried to become righteous by his own efforts. He practised self-affliction by climbing up a massive amount of stairs on his bare knees . Bloody and bleeding, he still could not find peace with God. He fasted to the point of severe weakness and afflicted himself in various ways to earn salvation for his soul. But to no avail, until he studied the book of Romans and gratefully found the key truths of Justification by faith and the inate sinfulness of man.

This study dramatically changed his life, the church, and the entire history of Christianity.              So will it change your life as well? Your faith and understanding of the Word will be challenged and then strengthened in your daily walk with Jesus.

Please take the time to read its pages from beginning to end. Then you will with me rejoice in all that we are in Christ and be eternally grateful for such….                     A GREAT SALVATION!

This wonderful Book of Romans is Paul’s best, here we see him at his greatest as a constructive thinker and theologian. It would be most important book in the Bible. It is beautifully freeing for all sinners everywhere because everyone of us are freely pardoned by Grace.

APOSTLE PAUL.

Paul was chosen by God to write this book as he was the only one who had experienced God’s Grace as a Pharisee of Pharisees, as the vilest of persecutors, an unrelenting murderer driven by a religious, pride- full, self-righteous evil spirit from hell.

One who had experienced a traumatic confrontation with Jesus the Lord of Glory on the road to Damascus.

PAUL BLINDED BY THE GLORY OF GOD.

One who truly repented of his sin and embraced the Grace of God who has appeared to all men.

The one who became brave and bold for the cause of Christ to the spreading of the Gospel.

Paul was a highly intelligent man, with a delicate conscience and an intense faith in the, ‘Finished work of the cross.

His heart ❤️ was for the lost, those of Israel, those of the Gentiles, the rich, the poor, the King, the pauper, the lonely and the popular. To all men everywhere Including you and I today.               Through his intense experience of near death at the cruel hands of his enemies by severe beatings, poverty, imprisonment,  starvation.                 Being respected, yet undermined and blamed for evil deeds of which he was innocent.

Paul was… Holy Spirit empowered and prompted, sustained and crowned with wisdom to pen this book of Romans.

PAUL’S PRISON OF AFFLICTION.
PAUL PENS MANY OF HIS GREAT WRITINGS FROM PRISON.

Personally, I think Paul would have chosen this verse for himself if he had not written it. Why? Because he lived it.

I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, it is the power of God unto Salvation to all who would believe.” or maybe,

I can do all things through Christ ho gives me strength.”

The book of Romans reveals the  beautiful heart of God to all men everywhere.

In the chapters we can clearly see…

THE GOSPEL OF GRACE.

THE POWER OF GOD TO SAVE THE WORST OF SINNERS.

THE NECESSITY OF BELIEVING IN GOD’S WORD.

CHRIST’S RIGHTEOUSNESS IMPUTED TO US  (accredited)

Paul addressed the sin problem, to Israel nationally, yet he includes you and me personally. He also gives practical advice to each person who becomes a believer.

So here we are about to glean the treasures of His amazing Grace. I know if you take the time to meditate upon these blogs you will certainly be blessed.

Amen.

Thankyou Precious Paul.

5. THE BOOK OF ACTS.

SIMON PETER.

The Apostle Peter.

Peter was also known as Cephas.

He was one of the first followers of Jesus Christ.

What I love about Peter is that he had no pretence. You must choose if you would make him your friend; if you decided not to include him in your life, it wouldn’t affect him.                                                  He was honest with no pretence. He was an outspoken and adamant disciple. Jesus was glad to have him as a friend. He loved Pete dearly.

He was an Apostle and a “Pillar” of the church.

HIS CHARACTER.

He was enthusiastic, strong willed, impulsive and at times brash.

But for all his strength, he was sensitive. Peter had feelings that could be easily wounded by unnecessary comments.

Jesus was patient and lovingly moulded him exactly for who He intended  Pete to be.

We must allow Jesus to mold us into His image and likeness by allowing adverse circumstances to come our way. Romans 8: 28, 29.

Peter was introduced to the Saviour by his brother Andrew. Read John 1:35,36.

Jesus gave him a new name, thus changing it to Cephas (Aramaic)

The Greek, meaning … “Rock.” John 1: 40-42.

Later, Jesus officially called Peter to follow Him and confirmed it with a miraculous catch of fresh fish!

Fresh fish! 🐠

Immediately. Peter left everything behind to accompany Jesus and became a, “Fisher of Men.”

Jesus saw in Pete and natural born gift of leadership. He became the spokesman for the twelve Disciples.

More significantly, it was Peter who first confessed Jesus as,

“THE CHRIST.”      THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD.”

This was the “Truth” Divinely revealed to Peter.

Mathew 16: 16.-17.

PETER’S PRIVILEGES.

He was present as Jesus healed Jirus’ daughter and raised her from the dead.

What a glorious experience to be on the mountain top and witness the Transfiguration of Jesus. Indeed a glorious experience.

As I mentioned previously Peter was known to be impetuous to the point of rashness.

Jesus, walks on the water.🌊

On one occasion, Jesus was walking on the water toward them as they sat amazed in their boat and very afraid. He had not calmed the boisterous waves  of the deep. Note, on this occasion, Jesus didn’t calm the boisterous water, He calmed the disciples by saying,

“FEAR  NOT, I AM!”

Peter, full of Faith, said, “Command me to come to you on the water”  He beckoned Peter to “Come.” So dear Peter walked on the water!

Then, the wild wind continued to rage, blowing his hair across his face and causing the foam to rise upon his body. Then, Peter took his eyes off Jesus, allowing the circumstances to overwhelm him to the point of panic.  As he began to sink, he cried out in despair,

“LORD, SAVE ME!!”

Immediately, Jesus stretched out His Strong and Mighty hand and caught him.

Jesus’ helping hands.
“I will trust and not be afraid.”

Immediately they were in the boat… The wind ceased!

The other Disciples could do nothing… but “Worship Him.”

You must cry out to Jesus in your storms of life. He will calm your troubled waters and call to your attention the contrary winds that blow against you. (Demons or men or whatever it be).

“Be still, I AM.”

IMMEDIATELY!

They all will submit to His Will, His Power and Authority.           Then you will know PEACE “In the storm” and PEACE “Before the storm.”

THE PEACE BEYOND YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING.

HIS PEACE for,

HE “IS” PEACE!

Hallelujah.

See the various items in this message, the word “IMMEDIATELY.” God downloaded them as I wrote this.

How amazing !! There is a message … in just One Word. If we pray and believe, we will receive immediately!

Blessings Heather.🌹

4. THE BOOK OF ACTS.

FROM SAUL TO PAUL.

Paul the Apostle.

Saul was born in Tarsus. He was from a Jewish family living in Tarsus, a trading city in the Mediterranean in Asia Minor. (He was of the Benjamin tribe in Israel.)                                       Tarsis was influential in trade since the time of Alexander the Great. Today, the country from which Paul came is now called Turkey.

Saul was trained as a Pharisee, a sect of the Jewish faith.

Acts 23:6, Saul was indeed a “Pharisee of the Pharisees” and a son of a Pharisee.  Now, Paul states this in his own words in the book of Philippians, chapter 3:5,6. He studied under a renowned Pharisaic teacher, Gamaliel, one of the great teachers of the first century.

He studied the Prophets, Classical literature and Philosophy.

SAULS  ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS CHRIST.

Saul, being a Pharisee hated those Jews who had been converted into Christianity. He spoke murderous threats against them.

He was a man of super intelligence and passionate Legalism. He was angry with those who contradicted  the laws of God. He saw the church as subversive and dangerous. He strove to abolish all believers who followed “The Way” the true message of the Gospel.

While riding to Damascus with an order from the High Priest to arrest all believers living there. He rode down the road to Damascus, and Saul was suddenly  blinded by a flash of heavenly light with an incredible voice of accusation saying,

“SAUL, SAUL, WHY. ARE YOU PERSECUTING ME?”

Saul was thrown from his horse and fell on to the hard stoney ground before anyone could catch him. Everything was dark and he badly bruised cried out.

The air was electric!

“WHO ARE YOU LORD?”

The voice said,             “I AM JESUS, WHOM YOU ARE PERSECUTING. NOW GET UP AND ENTER THE CITY, AND YOU WILL BE TOLD WHAT TO DO.”

Saul was helped to his feet. He couldn’t stop shaking and was very much afraid as he still had no sight!

SAUL CONFRONTED BY JESUS HIMSELF.
Your confrontation will come
if you a
continue resisting the Holy Spirit.

After this frightening encounter, Saul never doubted that Jesus Christ had made His last resurrection appearance to Saul, “One born out of time.”

Saul, now humbled, repented of his evil ways. Three days later, he was baptised. God had chosen a reluctant Ananias to lay hands on him and heal his eyes. Scales fell from them, and much to his delight, he could see again.

So Saul was renamed by the Lord and took on the name “Paul.”                       This indicated the radical change God had wrought in his life. After a period of preparation and prayer, he then began to share his testimony of the risen Christ with the Greeks.

This took place twenty-five years after Jesus’ crucifixion. Paul travelled the Roman Empire. He preached in Cyprus and the lower cities of Asia Minor, then in the northern cities. He then crossed over to Macedonia and travelled south into Greece, Philippi, Barea, Athens, and Corinth.

He wrote many letters of encouragement to all the churches he birthed.

When times are hard, remember the life of Paul with all the challenges he faced, take courage and  soldier on.

In today’s World, things are definitely growing worse for the Jew and the Christian.

Paul remained consistent to what he had experienced and preached. Thousands of people came into the Kingdom of God through Christ. Many people were healed, delivered and set free.

Indeed, Paul was filled with the Holy Spirit, confirmed by speaking in a heavenly language. Through much hardship, persecution and even temporary death, he persevered in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ.

PAUL IS NOW A THREAT TO THE AUTHORITIES.

When he was in the Temple at Jerusalem, certain people cried out.

“THIS IS THE MAN WHO IS TEACHING AGAINST THE LAW, AND AGAINST THIS PLACE. HE IS DEFILING THE TEMPLE!”

These accusations stirred up a big mob, and they grabbed him and dragged him into the street and began to beat him to death. A massive riot began.

The Roman Tribune quickly sent Centurians and Soldiers to enforce peace. They arrested Paul and bound him with chains,  beat him and carried him to prison bleeding and severely battered.

Paul, obsessed with the Gospel, was willing to suffer for it.

Paul lay there in that filthy prison in so much pain, yet rejoicing that he was worthy to suffer persecution for the sake of Christ.

Dear Christian, are you willing to suffer persecution for the sake of following CHRIST?                        It’s happening everywhere in this world,  Christians are persecuted by ISIS’s radical terrorists.

Churches desecrated.
Christians Martyred.

AUSTRALIA 🌏 BEWARE!!

OUR TURN IS COMING!

Be armed with the Word of God, fixed firmly in your memory so you will have an answer according to the hope that is in you”

Be bold, brave, and prepared, as you remember that the Lord is with you and will keep you from falling into compromise, Be continually filled by the Holy Spirit, He will teach you how to answer your enemies.

Jesus said,                       “I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU.”

You may not be a Paul and travel the seas to preach the Good News of the Gospel, you may be a housewife, or a worker on the Council roadworks, but …

“THOSE WHO KNOW THEIR GOD, WILL DO GREAT EXPLOITS.”

Be vigilant and a loyal follower of Christ. Stay close to God and don’t return evil for evil; stand against evil, forgiving one another as Christ has forgiven you.

We will win in the end because He has overcome all  evil, making us “more than conquerors through Him who loves us so!”

As Paul never gave up but fought the good fight and finished his course, and the Lord laid up for him a crown of Life in Glory.

Amen.

Never give up

3.THE BOOK OF ACTS.

STEPHEN THE FIRST MARTYR.

THE APOSTLE STEPHEN.

STEPHEN.

Stephen was born in the 1st Century after our Lord’s death and resurrection.

Did you know he was a relative of Paul?

He was the first of seven deacons when the Disciples ordained them to serve the poor in Jerusalem. He was called the Archdeacon, the first or chief of them.

Stephen poured out his life to help poverty stricken people, and he had compassion for the grief stricken widows and did all he could to bring comfort and strengthen them in their loneliness and poverty. Stephen always seemed to put a smile on each 😩 ..😄! weary face.

He lived his life as an example of Jesus Christ, who said,

“I CAME NOT TO BE MINISTERED UNTO…BUT TO MINISTER AND GIVE MY LIFE A RANSOM FOR MANY”

We shouldn’t wait to be served by others but serve them with a genuine and humble spirit.

“Lord, give me a servant’s heart like that of my Saviour.”

LORD, GIVE ME A HEART LIKE JESUS.

THE ENEMIES OF THE CROSS.

The Jewish authorities would argue with Stephen about his beliefs concerning the New way of living in Christ. These men could not outsmart him; he beat them every time.

Stephen was thoroughly versed in the Scriptures and would confuse and confound their religiosity. God had given him ‘His Spirit of Wisdom and Might.

STEPHEN BEFORE THE SANHEDRIN.

Eventually, these men who were very good at spreading evil rumors about innocent people stirred up the ignorant common people against this man of God.

That’s why we should make reading the Bible the first and foremost thing in our lives. Can you confound the teacher’s of false religions who come knocking on your  door, or do you shut the door in their faces.

Hey!  they are lost souls who need Jesus as their Saviour.

These men said many evil things about Stephen, accusing him of blasphemy against the Torah, against Moses, and against God.

They quickly found other people to lie and act as false witnesses against him.

But Stephen was strong in the Lord and the Power of His Might.

But dear Stephen stood before all the people, and they were astonished as they gazed at his face. “His face had become the face of an angel!” Some people stepped back in fear. Stephen was glorious as he reflected the glory of God’s Shekinah.

STEPHENS FACE LIT UP WITH GLORY LIGHT.

This reminds us of how Mose’s face shone when he talked with God.

UNDER MUCH OPPOSITION STEHEN STOOD FIRM.

Stephen opened his mouth and spoke about all of God’s marvellous works and miracles performed in the past for the people of Israel. He reminded them of past rebellions, disobedience and ungratefulness for what He had done. He especially denounced the Jewish authorities, those who were sitting in judgement over him.

They were enraged as he defended his faith in Jesus Christ, whom they crucified.

As they tried to shout him down, he, being full of the Holy Spirit, did not react. He bore no bitterness or anger, for he knew he was doing the will of God, even if it would mean his death.

Acts 7:60.

Stephen interrupted the crowd and said.  “Look!”  “I can see the Heavens open and the Son of man standing at the right hand of God”

At once they grabbed him and dragged him away to be stoned to death. The stones were large and sharp and coming at him at great speed. Stephen was cut deeply and just as his Lord and Master his blood was poured out in Martyrdom. Almost passing out he prayed his final prayer.

“Oh, Lord,  do not punish these people and find them guilty. Lay not this to their charge.”

Who does that sound like? Yes, Jesus! He cried from that cruel cross of shame. Father, please forgive them, they don’t know what they are doing.”

Could you pray that prayer for your enemies?

Stephen had become just like His Saviour. Christ “in” Him, and he “in” Christ.

Dear Christian, the time is short and the world grows more 🖤 wicked every day.  Christians are being persecuted world wide and many are losing their lives for the sake of the Gospel.

WHAT ABOUT YOU?

Settle it now, and ask yourself, am I ready to die for my Lord ?

If your answer is … Yes!

Then why won’t you witness for Him today? Are you really willing to die for Jesus, Some of you will not even say His name  in front of an unbeliever. Some of you hardly attend Church. Many of you live like the world.

He is coming back soon and I’m afraid that He will say, “Depart from me, I never knew you!”

My heart ❤️ breaks for you, please heed my warning and totally surrender your life to Jesus.

Stephen died under a rubble of rocks. But Stephen’s Spirit entered into the arms of Jesus. No wonder He was standing waiting for Stephen to come home to be, FOREVER WITH HIS LORD.

“Well done dear Stephen.”

He was only the age of 29!

Amen.

How blessed are we?

2. THE BOOK OF ACTS.

THE DAY OF PENTECOST.

A MIGHTY OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

The disciples joined with other believers, including Jesus’ mother, Mary, as  Jesus had instructed them to wait until they were clothed with power from on High.

Then, the Holy Spirit and fire would come upon them as they waited, and He would equip them to preach the Gospel, just as Jesus had promised while He was still with the disciples in person.

THIS IS STILL REAL TODAY.

The Holy Spirit would come and take His place. Read John chapter 14:15-18.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Suddenly they heard a sound of a violent blast of wind rushing into the house from out of the Heavenly Realm. The roar of the wind was so overpowering it was all anyone could bear.

Then, all at once, a pillar of fire appeared before their eyes. Then, it separated into tongues of fire 🔥 that engulfed each of them.

They were all filled with the Holy Spirit. “Filled” in the Greek, the word is: ‘Pletho’, which means “furnished” and “equipped”. This is what we call,

“The Anointing.”

The Holy Spirit Anointed them for the ministry to which they had been called.

Everyone who knows Jesus Christ today needs to be Anointed both for everyday life and ministry.

Be willing to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

That does not mean … Everyone must be a Pastor. Your ministry can be as important as a mother who cares for her children.

(A high and holy calling)

Or a taxi driver, a C.E.O. of a large company.

Or a Nurse, a Doctor , a Cleaner.

Whatever your profession, you need to be filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

The believers in that room were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues.

The disciples spoke in languages they had never learned!

At that time there were Jewish worshipers who had immigrated from many different lands to live in Jerusalem.                      All the people of the city heard the roaring sound, and crowds came running to see from where it was coming. They were stunned about what was happening.

Because they could hear  them speaking in their own languages.

(People from 17 different countries were represented.)

Astonished, they said to one another. “What is this phenomenon?” Others said, without investigating,

“They are drunk!” Really? The pubs were not yet open so early in the morning!

It was a miracle, both in the speaking and in the hearing. Both were an Act of God the Holy Spirit. So let’s not argue over it at all.

DO I SPEAK IN TONGUES?

Yes I do!  It began when I asked the Lord to baptise me with the Holy Spirit.

I came from a Fundamental anti-charismatic background; they taught that tongues ceased after the Apostolic era finished.

Any person who speaks in tongues were either demon possessed or mentally unstable. So, I was counselled to have my tongues cast out.

I went, and God confirmed that they were of Him, and I still speak in tongues today. I’m so glad they remained, as there has been a significant change in my life ever since—a change for good, not evil. I received a greater Authority and empowerment for the ministry. The Lord has used me to deliver tormented souls from demons, heal the sick and see many souls come into the Kingdom. It’s all of God and nothing to do with me.

I do not judge anyone who doesn’t speak in tongues, as doing so does not make a person a better or more Holy Christian. I have encountered mighty men of God who have not yet had this experience, and I pray they will in God’s time.

It takes obedience to the Word of God, living by the Word and not being conformed to this world, but being transformed by the renewing of my mind to prove what is the acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans chpt  12: 1,2.

It means I must surrender myself as a living sacrifice unto God, take up my cross and follow Jesus.

It means to die to myself and allow the Holy Spirit to change and make me more like Christ.

Next week I will share the benefits of speaking tongues and you can choose if you want this gift or not.

Tongues cannot be taught  like you would learn the alphabet. They are as Paul who spoke in tongues more than anyone something you must earnestly desire.  And God Himself will not give you something else.

You can trust Him to give you what you ask, and Satan cannot interrupt the Almighty God.

Amen.

AN ON GOING EXPERIENCE!

THE GREAT CREATOR, BECAME MY SAVIOUR!

1.THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLE’S.

THE “ACTION” OF THE SPIRIT FILLED APOSTLES.

TWENTY – EIGHT THRILLING CHAPTERS LIE BEFORE US.

Today, we will begin an inspiring study of the Book of Acts. It marks one of the greatest turning- points in history.

It is the sequel to the mighty events of the Gospels and a gateway to the glorious doctrines of the Epistles.

AUTHOR AND DATE.

The author was Luke, the writer of the Gospel of Luke.

Luke dedicated this book to “Theophilus” Luke 1:3. Acts 1:1. There is a similarity in style, phrases, and arrangement between the two books 📚.

DATE OF WRITING.

It was completed around the year A.D. 63 in Rome, near the end of Paul’s two years of imprisonment there. Luke was with Paul throughout the entirety of his ministry.                    See 2 Timothy 4:6 and 11.

SCOPE AND TITLE.

What is the subject and aim of the. Book of Acts?                        Some would prefer to call it the “Acts of the Holy Spirit.” Others would name it, The “Acts of the Ascended Christ.”                                              I like its original name,

“THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES.”

Because, in it, we behold the Christ-commissioned Spirit-Filled men, the Apostles, bringing the good news of the Gospel to all men.

They teach of the Ascended Christ and are moved and controlled by the Holy Spirit.

KEY AND PLAN.

The key thought in the book of Acts is that of the …

“WITNESS OF CHRIST.”

The key verse is undoubtedly found in Acts chapter 1:8.

“YOU SHALL RECEIVE POWER AFTER THAT THE HOLY GHOST COMES UPON YOU, AND YOU SHALL WITNESS ABOUT ME. BOTH IN JERUSALEM AND IN ALL JUDEA AND SAMARIA, AND UNTO THE UTTERMOST PARTS OF THE EARTH.”

THE OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND FIRE.
(This baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire is still available today!)
OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Here in this verse is the, Divine Appointment, the Spiritual equipment, and the Geology of Christ’s witnesses…

(All over the Earth.) 🌎

THE PLAN.

The book is in two parts: 1st Part. Chapters 1-12.

1. Jerusalem is the center.

2. Peter is a prominent figure.

3. The outreach from Jerusalem, through JUDEA to SAMARIA.

4. In this first part, we are restricted to Palestine, the Gospel is first witnessed by the Jews of the homeland and then by the Jews and Gentiles alike.

5. The first part is 😢 sad as many of the Jews rejected the witness and the Words of Life.

6. At The end of this section, we read of Peter’s imprisonment.

Peter was released from prison by an Angel.

The second Part. Chapter 13-to the end.

1. ANTIOCH is the centre.

2. Paul is the prominent figure.

3. There is a reaching-out movement from Antioch, through the empire, to Rome.

4. The Gospel is preached to the Jews of the Dispersion, then to the Gentiles alike.

5. Here the Jews of the Dispersion rejected the Word of God.

6. This second part ends with the imprisonment of the Apostle Paul.

PAUL IN PRISON.

WHAT WAS THE APOSTOLIC WITNESS?

The first chapter of the book covers the 50 days from our Lord’s Resurrection to the day of Pentecost.             These days are divided into forty and ten.- the forty days of our Lord’s resurrection ministry, and the ten days of “tarrying” (waiting) between the ascension of Christ and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

The forty days cannot be exaggerated as Jesus not only encouraged the disciples but spoke of:

THINGS PERTAINING TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

Here is where they asked Jesus,

“WILL YOU RESTORE AGAIN THE KINGDOM TO ISRAEL?”

It is getting close!

Jesus had addressed this question a few days before. See Matthew chapter 24.   I believe they asked the question again out of a desire to know if this restoration would take place in their time, but Jesus said that it was not the time for them to know, that the Father would reveal it in His own time.

Jesus was waiting to see a genuine repentance and national return of the Jews to accept Jesus as their Messiah and Lord. See verse 21.

The “time of restoration” to which Peter here referred are the,

Times of Refreshing” that will happen at the time of Jesus’ return. If Israel had repented and been converted, the time would have come sooner.

Today, that time is sooner than we think, for many Jews are turning to Christ and the Coming Kingdom is at hand. What must we do as we wait for that time?

OCCUPY TILL HE COMES.

That is … Win as many souls as you can to Christ. Soul winning is a “responsibility” not a “gift.  It’s not just ” up to your Pastor!

We were saved to share our testimony to others.

Ask God for a “broken heart” for the perishing.              Weep as Jesus wept over Jerusalem.

When your heart has been broken for the lost, you will not be able to shop without seeing people as lost, hopeless and needing Christ.

And you can’t help but witness!!

Be willing to be embarrassed and ridiculed. It is definitely worth it when all of Heaven rejoices over one sinner who repents and is converted.

THEN, GO INTO ALL THE WORLD AND PREACH THE GOSPEL TO EVERYONE YOU MEET. DO IT OUT OF LOVE AND BY YOUR LIFE!

People are scared in these last days and many a willing to listen to you!

Amen.

To help me to spread the Gospel across the world 🌎 I need financial support. Pray, and see if God wants  to use you to extend this mnistry

I know the prices have skyrocketed and times are hard. It is a faith step, but l promise you will be greatly blessed.

Jesus said, “GIVE AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN UNTO YOU” etc….
