HAMAN THE ENEMY OF THE JEWS.

IN THIS BOOK OF ESTHER, WE INTRODUCE A DEVIOUS SERPENT OF A MAN NAMED HAMAN APPEARING ON THE SCENE.

Chapters 3-7.

This man had risen in the king’s favour to become the king’s Vister of the realm. The King commanded that every knee should bow to Haman in reverence. Only one man refused.

MORDECAI the Jew!

The Persians regarded their King as the very IMAGE OF GOD.” Mordecai would not yield to any man the reverence that belonged to the”ONE TRUE GOD” in whom he believed.

Not giving him reverence began Haman’s hatred for Mordecai and for his people, the Jews. So he decided to annihilate every Jew in a massive massacre.

What a blow to Haman’s pride!

Notice how ‘easy’ it was for the king to put that mandate into Haman’s hands. The lives of tens of thousands of his helpful subjects would be slaughtered by their evil enemies.

The King, without one thought, became easily persuaded. Why? Because he saw he would ‘personally’ benefit from it. He was also filled with pride.

What is the definition of pride?

IT IS THE FEELING OF SELF SATISFACTION IN ONES IDENTITY AND ACCOMPLISHMENT.

IT IS THE SIN OF SELF-LOVE, SUPERIORITY, AND IT IS MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE AS ONE OF THE DEADLY SINS.

Haman the Wicked

THE NUMERICAL VALUE OF THE HEBREW LETTERS WHICH MAKE UP HIS TITLE IS 666! THE NUMBER OF THE ANTICHRIST, Revelation 13:18.

There are several similarities between the Beast and Haman. Both are wicked, ungodly men, and both hate Jews.

Both set themselves up to become rulers over all people. But God steps in and destroys Haman.

Jesus Christ, the ‘King of Kings’ at His second coming,will rule over all the Kingdoms of this earth, and the Anti-Christ will be cast down to hell into the fires of torment. Amen!

Note Haman’s pride. He boasted about his riches and glory to Zeresh and his friends. Then he planned to ride upon the King’s horse dressed in the King’s apparel, wearing the King’s Royal crown wanting the adulations of all the people watching him in his pompous ceremony.

All Haman desired was the acceptance of men. He cared nothing of the sort about honouring the King.

That is prevalent today; many people draw attention to themselves in conversation, action, activity, clothing, and achievements. These people bore me.

Where is the use of the Name of Jesus Christ? Why aren’t we boasting about Him?

In Haman’s mind, he “was” the King. Yet in his heart, he carried hate, deep hate!

He said, “Everyone, yes, everyone must bow to ‘me,’ even this Jew Mordecai.”

If only Haman had sought out the true God. His god was himself.

Four times he is called the ENEMY OF THE JEWS.

Five times he is called an “AGAGITE.”

AGAG WAS A KING OF THE AMELEKITES, A DEADLY ENEMY OF ISRAEL.

EXODUS 11:16. HAMAN WAS ALSO AN ENEMY OF ISRAEL.

Haman’s plot brought great sorrow and suffering Chapter 3:4.

HIS DOOM.

We will look at him in more detail further along. The King and Haman were selfish; while in power, he was terrible, lasting only a few years.

Compare chapters… 2:16 with 2:7 of Esther.

One day, he vaunts himself. The next day, he is hanged on his own constructed gallows! All his ten sons perish with him.

Proverbs Chapter One suits this evil man called HAMAN.

See verse 1:18 “When these men set a trap for others, they wait for their own blood. They set an ambush for their own lives.”

“Vengeance is mine, says the Lord.” This is perfectly accurate.

Don’t allow bitterness or resentment to burn in your heart.

You better forgive and go one step further… BLESS!

All our lives, people have hurt us, and the only way to absolute freedom is for you to forgive, then you can leave them to God to do as He wills. Now you can live perfectly free from all bondage to satan and sin. Amen.
